During this project, I collaborated with SCAD studio teammates to design and develop a smart home system concept integrating IoT devices, biometric tracking, and ambient technology. My role involved conducting user research, applying Design Thinking and Lean UX methodologies, and creating MVP prototypes to validate the effects of light, sound, and habit-forming technologies on users' circadian rhythms and energy levels.

By the completion of this project, our team delivered a smart home system concept validated through research and environment testing. Surroundings leverages adaptive light, sound, and AI-driven habit formation to promote healthier routines, reduce dependency on technology, and encourage more balanced lifestyles. Our work was awarded the Red Dot Award, European Product Design Award, and Indigo Design Award, recognizing its innovative approach to addressing health challenges through UX & Product Design.
